Trip to Australia October 2023 - Part 7 - Carrick Hill

Carrick Hill is an historic house set in a 100-acre estate in the foothills of the Adelaide Hills.  There are spectacular views over the city of Adelaide and to the sea beyond.   Built in the 1930s, the property was built for their home by Sir Edward and Lady Ursula  Hayward.  It houses many treasures bought on their honeymoon in England from the now demolished Beaudesert Estate in Staffordshire.  Unfortunately, when my sister and I visited, the house was closed, but we were able to walk around the beautiful gardens and enjoy the fantastic views.
