City of London at Night - Part 3

Image
After leaving The Tate Modern we walked back across Southwark Bridge and made our way to Fenchurch Street and The Garden at 120.   Entry was free, but we had to go through security to enter - a bit like at the airport, and then took the lift to the 15th Floor. The views were wonderful.  As it was dark we were not able to appreciate the garden, but there seemed to be a lot of grasses, and there was a rill to one side.  The sides are glassed-in, which made taking photographs a bit difficult with reflections.   The views over London were magnificent These are just outside 120 Fenchurch Street on the ceiling and slowly move around.  Stunning. . Finally, a few photographs taken as we walked around. Leadenhall Market

We visited a small photographic exhibition in the Tate Modern by a Japanese photographer, Naoya Hatakeyama - A series of black and white photographs of city lights in Tokyo.   They were quite effective. This is my effort - not yet in black and white

I love going to London, so when the Camera club suggested a trip to London with our expert Street Photographer member I jumped at the chance.  Seven of us travelled to London leaving the cars at Putney and travelling the rest of the way on the London Underground.  We went in the afternoon so these are taken at dusk and early evening. We walked up some steps to a small 'garden' and this was in the middle.  Views taken from the Millenium Bridge Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan playhouse for which William Shakespeare wrote his plays, in the London Borough of Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames.   Wikipedia    The Millenium Bridge and Skyline views from the viewing platform at The Tate Modern  More to follow, but please le
