The Lavender Fields, Nr. Alton, Hampshire - July 2023

Image
A visit to the Lavender Fields was due to take place on Saturday, arranged by the Camera Club and another photography group I belong to,  but due to the wet and windy weather forecast, it was cancelled.  Friday's weather was set fair -no rain and gentle winds, so Angie, Ann, and I decided we would go along on our own. The weather was indeed dry, but dull with occasional sunny spells, and was blustery at times. I was so pleased I was able to get some photos of the butterflies.   There were also areas of wildflowers.   A technical conversation going on. Threatening skies - time to head for home, but not before a cup of tea and cake. ------------------------------------

RHS Gardens, Wisley - July 2023

On the hottest day of the week, Angie, Ann, and I popped over to Wisley Gardens.  Ann wanted to photograph dragonflies at the new Hilltop Centre, so we made it our first port of call. There weren't many dragonflies about, but I managed to get one or two.  We then just wandered the gardens and had lunch before heading home.
