Oxford and Oxford Botanic Gardens - August 2022

Sheila, (organiser of the trip and neighbor) arrived promptly at 8.30 and we drove to Artington Park & Ride, picking up Angie on the way.  Once everyone was on board, we set off, with two more stops in Guildford to pick up several more U3A members, and then we were off!   Fortunately, the traffic was light on the M25 and M40 and an hour and a half later we arrived in Oxford.

It's many years since I visited Oxford and I don't really remember very much of it.   The same was for Angie, so we left the rest of the coach party to the museums and, with the sun shining, we set off with cameras to the ready!   The first stop was for coffee which we had in a Waterstones coffee shop - and of course, we had to have cake - chocolate and orange cake!

A protest going on here - I think it was against animal farming

We had a wonderful day - the weather was perfect.
