Nymans - a National Trust property - August 2023

I have visited Nymans many times over the years, and written about it on this blog - see here, herehere, and here.   My visit a couple of weeks ago was with my camera friends - Angie and Ann.     It is always such a pleasure to visit this beautiful place.  The gardens are a delight, although I did think there were not that many dahlias as in previous years.   Perhaps it is due to the freezing weather we had last winter and this very cold and dark summer.   And we hardly had any sun that day.  Photographs here mainly of flowers and the gardens.

This is Berkheya Stobaea purpurea - it is very pretty but very spikey!

This is Eucryphia cordifolia found in Chile and Argentina and threatened by logging and habitat loss.
