Visit to Winkworth Arboretum - October 2020

A couple of weeks ago I met up with three friends from The Camera Club at Winkworth Arboretum.  It's National Trust property so Angie booked us in and we all duly arrived in the Car Park on a dull Tuesday morning.   We were a tad too early for full-on autumn colour, but it was just starting on several trees.

We came across these white Colchicums just growing on their own in the grass.

And a few toadstools

The Boat House

Steps back up to the top.  The steps are lined with azaleas which are glorious in spring.

This area is Badgers' Bowl

There are five Medlar trees growing here

One of them had a few flowers.

Looking back across Badgers Bowl as we made our way back to our cars.  Of course, we stopped for Coffee and Cake before our return journeys,

So, what did we do during the first lockdown?  We walked and I took loads and loads of pictures of horses, a few goats, and a couple of chickens.    I thought you might get a bit bored with them, so I'll add a few here and there.
