A winter's walk along The River Wey from Shalford to St. Catherine's Lock - 2nd January 2017
On a sunny, if rather chilly, day we decided on a short walk along the River Wey. View taken from St. Catherine's Lock back along the way we came. The lock was opened in 1764 and is the shallowest lock on the Wey. Reflection in the glass wall of an office block at the start and end of our walk. A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
PRETTY PICS

Thank you for your kind words. We are only about 20 minutes away, so often pop over. Did you get to see the butterflys? It was not our intention to go and see them, but would have had the queue not been about 200 yards long!
DeleteA beautiful selection of photos! The iris (?) in your first has amazing colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen - the iris was particularly beautiful.
DeleteAmazed there was so much in flower this Feb. I haven't managed a visit there this year, waiting for the Spring - whenever that is going to happen!
ReplyDeleteThat visit in February was managed on a dry day, but it was windy and taking pics was quite hard.
